Sarthak Arya and Hardee Patel caused an upset by defeating third seeds Snehit Suravajjula and Sayali Wani in a thrilling match to progress to the second round of the mixed doubles qualifying event at the WTT Feeder Series 2026 in Vadodara. The tournament, organized by the Table Tennis Association of Baroda and supported by the Sports Authority of Gujarat, is witnessing intense competition.

In the women’s singles category, Anusha Kutumbale displayed composure to overcome Nithya Mani in a closely contested match, keeping her chances alive for a spot in the knockout stage. Anusha’s victory came after Nithya staged a remarkable comeback from being two games down, showcasing the competitive spirit at the event.

Selena Selvakumar secured a place in the knockout stage from Group 1 with victories in both her matches, while Tanishka Kalbhairav, a wild card entrant, positioned herself well in Group 5 by winning two matches. The men’s singles group stage saw Kumar Harshit, Sriram Sivam, Abhilash Raval, Balamurugan Rajasekaran, and Mehan Senthil all booking their spots in the knockouts after successful performances in their group matches.

In the mixed doubles qualifying round, the duo of Dhairya Parmar and Anusha Kutumbale triumphed over Rajiv Sahu and Pranati Ramesh, setting up a clash with second seeds Abhinandh Pradhivadhi and Nithya Mani.
