Scotland captain Richie Berrington praised the intense atmosphere during their match against Nepal, crediting Airee’s impactful innings in Nepal’s seven-wicket victory at Wankhede Stadium. Airee’s unbeaten 50 off 23 balls, supported by Bhurtel, Sheikh, and Jha, led Nepal to a memorable win in their final league game.

Berrington acknowledged the challenge posed by Nepal and the game-changing performance by Airee, who shifted the momentum. Despite a competitive total of 170 by Scotland, Nepal’s strong finish with the bat secured their first T20 World Cup win, with Airee and Jha leading the charge in the final overs.

Reflecting on missed opportunities, Berrington commended his team’s resilience and competitive spirit at the global level. He expressed optimism about Scotland’s future performances in the highly competitive 20-team World Cup, emphasizing the importance of seizing every opportunity.
