The second schedule of the movie ‘Arasan’, directed by Vetrimaaran and starring Silambarasan, has commenced in Chennai. Producer Kalaipuli S Thanu of V Creations confirmed the progress during the ‘Moonwalk’ film’s audio launch event. Sources revealed that the shooting is on track, with plans to film at various locations in the city, set to intensify from January 20.
The first schedule of ‘Arasan’ wrapped up in Kovilpatti on December 21. The collaboration between Silambarasan and Vetri Maran, along with the production by Kalaipuli S Thanu, has raised high expectations. Actor Vijay Sethupathi’s inclusion in the project further adds to the anticipation.
In a released promo, director Nelson and Silambarasan discuss the film’s content, emphasizing the need for disclaimers due to sensitive subject matter. The promo hints at a gripping narrative set in the world of ‘Vada Chennai’. The movie also stars Andrea Jeremiah, Vijay Sethupathi, Samuthirakani, and Kishore, with music by Anirudh.
Director Vetrimaran clarified that ‘Arasan’ is not a sequel to ‘Vada Chennai’ but is set in the same universe. The film promises an intriguing storyline, with Simbu in a pivotal role.
