With Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) experiencing unrest and severe actions by security forces, Indian intelligence agencies have cautioned about potential infiltration efforts and diversions. Despite ongoing protests in Pakistan, security forces are on high alert for possible infiltration through the Line of Control (LoC). The ISI is anticipated to orchestrate attacks in Jammu and Kashmir and other regions to support these infiltration attempts.
Indian security forces are maintaining a heightened state of readiness to prevent any spillover into Jammu and Kashmir. Amid the turmoil in PoK, the ISI has directed terror launchpads to prepare for sending terrorists into Jammu and Kashmir. Intelligence reports indicate that the ISI aims to exploit the situation, possibly to deflect global attention from the atrocities in PoK.
There has been a surge in online activity backed by the ISI, with efforts to activate modules within India for potential attacks. Despite recent busts of such modules by Indian agencies, the ISI has gathered intelligence on sensitive locations in India. The spy agency has utilized solar-powered CCTV modules to gather information on sites like military installations, railway stations, and bus stands, intending to recruit and deploy youth for attacks.
Indian agencies have cautioned security officials to be vigilant against potential social media activities, including disinformation campaigns targeting India. False narratives may attempt to shift blame onto India for the situation in PoK. The Ministry of External Affairs has criticized Pakistan for human rights abuses in PoK and urged the international community to hold Islamabad accountable.
Amid growing desperation within the Pakistan establishment for a diversion, concerns extend beyond PoK to regions like Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Facing accusations of severe human rights violations in multiple areas, Pakistan might seek to divert attention through a swift strike in India, given international scrutiny.
