The security grid in Uttam Nagar has been significantly reinforced for Ram Navami celebrations, with 650 police personnel and 12 units of paramilitary forces, including CRPF, ensuring law and order. Special pickets at key locations like Uttam Nagar Thana Road and Balmiki Mandir Chowk have been established for close monitoring. Joint teams from Uttam Nagar, Dabri, and Bindapur police stations are strategically placed to prevent any disturbances.
In addition to the visible presence, undercover teams in plain clothes have been activated by the Dwarka District Operations Cell to gather real-time intelligence. The security measures follow the recent Tarun murder case, aiming to avert any tensions during the festival. Authorities have made 14 arrests related to the case and continue patrolling the area to maintain peace.
The security arrangements coincide with the celebration of Ram Navami, honoring Lord Rama’s birth, the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu. This festival signifies the triumph of righteousness over evil and involves prayers, fasting, and religious recitations. Ram Navami falls on the Navami Tithi of the Shukla Paksha in the month of Chaitra, observed this year on March 26 due to the auspicious Madhyahna muhurat timing.
