During the IPL match at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, a significant security breach occurred with around 240 CCTV feeds being disabled. The Cubbon Park police have initiated an FIR and are searching for two suspects believed to have tampered with the surveillance system.

The suspects, identified as Manjunatha. E, aged 37, and Abdul Kalam, aged 19, employees of IVS Digital Solutions, allegedly accessed the stadium using a deactivated card and sabotaged the CCTV server room by cutting connections to the Network Video Recorder and fibre cables.

This disruption led to a temporary loss of surveillance coverage in critical areas of the stadium, including entry gates, concourses, and the D Corporate Stand. Despite this incident, alternative security measures were promptly implemented to ensure the safety of spectators and players.

Authorities are conducting further investigations to determine the motive behind the security breach and evaluate any shortcomings in access control and security protocols. The case has been registered under BNS Sections 324 (4), with the complaint lodged by Aditya Bhat from Staqu Technologies, Gurgaon.
