To combat criminal activities, security forces are conducting extensive intelligence-based search operations in Manipur, particularly targeting individuals engaged in extortion. They have established 114 checkpoints across the state to monitor and restrict the movement of suspicious vehicles and illegal elements.
Furthermore, security personnel are ensuring the safe transportation of essential goods by providing escorts to vehicles, including trucks, along the Imphal-Jiribam National Highway (NH-37). Stringent security measures and convoy protection protocols are being enforced in sensitive areas to safeguard vehicle movements.
