Bijapur district in Chhattisgarh recently saw two significant anti-Maoist operations where security forces successfully recovered Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and a Maoist dump. The operations were conducted under Bhopalpatnam and Madded police station limits, showcasing the forces’ vigilance against Maoist activities. In one operation, security personnel and the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) recovered two 10-kilogram command IEDs planted by Maoists to target security convoys. The police swiftly neutralized the threat by safely retrieving and destroying the explosives.
In a parallel operation under the Bhopalpatnam police station, a joint team recovered two pressure IEDs weighing 2 kilograms each in the Kondapadgu forest area. The explosives were immediately destroyed on-site, preventing potential casualties. Security forces also found ration supplies buried underground, intended for Maoist cadres in the forest. These recoveries highlight the ongoing anti-Maoist efforts and the commitment of security forces to ensure peace and security in the region.
The successful neutralization of explosives and seizure of Maoist resources underscore the dedication of security forces to maintaining law and order. Authorities continue to monitor Maoist activities closely, with intensified efforts to safeguard local communities and prevent any disruptions in Bijapur district.
