Security forces have made a major breakthrough in their anti-Naxal efforts by uncovering weapons and important materials from a Naxal hideout in the village of Amatola in Kanker district. The recovery included four Bharmar guns, two wireless sets, a radio, a Naxal uniform, and various other items. This discovery is a significant setback for Naxal activities in the area, indicating the presence of active cadres using the jungle as a temporary storage location.
The joint operation involved District Police, Border Security Force, and Bomb Disposal Squad, who meticulously searched the border regions to combat Naxal operations. Led by Yogesh Kumar and Inspector Suman Kanthosu, the teams navigated challenging terrains to locate the hidden cache. Kanker district, known for Naxal presence, has been a focus of continuous efforts to eliminate extremists and restore peace.
Authorities believe that such operations disrupt Naxal supply chains and provide a sense of security to local residents affected by the conflict. This successful recovery serves as a morale boost for the security forces and sends a clear message to Naxal groups that their hideouts are constantly monitored. The local administration urges residents to report any suspicious activities, strengthening the fight against left-wing extremism.
