Security forces in Dantewada district, Chhattisgarh, made a significant breakthrough in the anti-Naxal campaign by neutralizing multiple improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and seizing banned materials. Acting on precise intelligence, a joint operation by CRPF and Dantewada Police led to the discovery of IEDs and a pipe bomb in Todma village.
The operation, spearheaded by officers Vikrant Verma and Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, began at 6:00 a.m. with the participation of civil police forces. Following a thorough search, security personnel identified and safely neutralized two pressure cooker IEDs and a ten-kilogram pipe bomb concealed in the forest.
The successful neutralization of the devices averted a potential tragedy, showcasing the effectiveness of coordinated operations. Subsequent searches uncovered a cache of explosives, weapons, and Naxal-related materials hidden by insurgents. The recovery underscores the scale of resources at the insurgents’ disposal and the importance of intelligence-driven operations.
Officials highlighted the operation’s success in dismantling Naxal infrastructure in the Bastar division, emphasizing the momentum towards peace and security in the region.
