Senior BJP leader K. Annamalai is set to campaign in crucial Tamil Nadu constituencies on Saturday, bolstering the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) outreach before the upcoming Assembly elections. The state is gearing up for a competitive four-cornered electoral battle involving the DMK-led alliance, the AIADMK-led NDA, Naam Tamilar Katchi, and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam. Political parties are intensifying their campaigning efforts, deploying top leaders to garner voter support as polling day approaches.
Annamalai’s campaign will focus on Dharmapuri district and nearby areas, covering key constituencies like Dharmapuri, Pennagaram, Palacode, Pappireddipatti, Harur, and Thalli. His aim is to rally support for NDA candidates in what is anticipated to be a pivotal electoral battleground. Annamalai confirmed his campaign schedule, expressing confidence in the NDA’s electoral prospects and assuring victory for the alliance’s candidates in the upcoming polls.
In a statement, Annamalai criticized the ruling DMK government, accusing it of governance failures, particularly in law enforcement and combating drug proliferation. He highlighted concerns over the safety of women and children under the current administration, vowing to address these issues by replacing what he termed as an ineffective government. Annamalai called on voters to actively participate in the electoral process, emphasizing the necessity for a political transformation in the state.
As the intense campaigning phase nears its end, Tamil Nadu’s political arena is witnessing heightened activity as parties vie for an advantage in the fiercely contested election.
