Senior BJP leader R. Ashoka criticized the Congress party for internal disputes within the Karnataka government regarding Cabinet portfolios. Ashoka highlighted discontent among Congress leaders and questioned the ruling party’s stability, particularly focusing on ministers’ dissatisfaction with portfolio allocation.
Ashoka sarcastically remarked that while Kannadigas may not wake up to a day without the sun, they are sure to witness ongoing infighting within @INCKarnataka. He further criticized senior Congress leaders for allegedly intervening in state matters, suggesting they establish a permanent office in Bengaluru due to frequent visits to manage internal conflicts.
The BJP leader pointed out public expressions of dissatisfaction by ministers like K.H. Muniyappa and Ramalinga Reddy over portfolio allocation. Despite Congress leadership’s claims of harmony, Ashoka emphasized the evident internal disagreements affecting the government’s functioning, especially in the context of department assignments.
Ashoka criticized the Congress party for prioritizing powerful ministries over social welfare portfolios, highlighting a lack of enthusiasm for departments related to Social Welfare and Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes welfare. He also raised concerns about the inadequate representation of women in the state cabinet, questioning the party’s commitment to social justice and socialism.
