Senior officials from India’s Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) met with a high-level delegation from Poland to explore collaboration opportunities in the MSME sector. India’s MSME sector, with over 86 million registered enterprises, plays a crucial role in the country’s economic growth, employment, and exports.
Bharat Khera, Secretary of the Ministry of MSME, emphasized India’s efforts to enhance MSME competitiveness through digital transformation, innovation, and sustainable practices. He briefed the delegation on key initiatives like the Udyam Registration Portal and the Credit Guarantee Scheme for Micro & Small Enterprises.
Highlighting the strong partnership between India and Poland, Khera noted the significant growth in bilateral trade and investment. Deputy Minister Michał Baranowski of Poland commended India’s progress in the MSME sector and expressed Poland’s interest in expanding collaboration. Both sides aim to boost cooperation in enterprise development, technology, market linkages, and institutional partnerships.
The meeting focused on enhancing collaboration between India and Poland in the MSME sector, aiming to strengthen ties in various areas such as digital transformation, innovation, and trade, while fostering greater interaction between the two countries’ MSME ecosystems.
