Senior RJD leader and former Bihar minister Bagi Kumar Verma, aged 77, passed away while receiving treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi. His death has saddened the Jehanabad and Arwal districts. The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) party office saw an outpouring of grief as members paid their last respects to Verma.
RJD leaders like Tejashwi Yadav, Mangani Lal Mandal, Abdul Bari Siddiqui, and others honored Verma by garlanding his mortal remains. Tejashwi Yadav praised Verma as a dedicated and honest leader, emphasizing his socialist values and strong commitment to public service. Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary also expressed deep sorrow at Verma’s demise, highlighting his significant contributions to politics and society.
Bagi Kumar Verma, who hailed from Jhaman Bigha village, had a long political career, serving as an RJD MLA from 1995 to 2005 and winning the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections from the Kurtha constituency. Known for his simplicity and dedication, Verma’s passing has deeply affected his family, supporters, and party members, with condolences pouring in from all corners of the state.
