The Seventh International Kite and Sweet Festival commenced at the Parade Grounds in Hyderabad, turning the skies into a colorful spectacle. Minister for Tourism and Culture Jupally Krishna Rao and Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar inaugurated the three-day cultural event.
Participants from 19 countries and 15 states are part of the festival, which is a part of the Sankranti celebrations. The event features 40 international kite fliers and 55 members from kite clubs, along with 60 stalls offering a variety of sweets from across the country and abroad.
Minister Jupally Krishna Rao stressed the importance of such festivals in preserving the state’s cultural heritage and traditions. He highlighted the unity in diversity showcased by participants from various states and countries.
