SG Pipers and Shrachi Bengal Tigers to Clash in Women’s Hockey India League Final

After two weeks of intense hockey matches in the Women’s Hockey India League 2025-26, SG Pipers and Shrachi Bengal Tigers are set to compete in the final at the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Astro Turf Hockey Stadium in Ranchi. The winner of the league will receive Rs 1.5 crore, with Rs 1 crore for the runners-up and Rs 50 lakh for the third-placed team, Ranchi Royals.

SG Pipers and Shrachi Bengal Tigers, the finalists, have shown strong performances in the league. SG Pipers led the table with 11 points, while Shrachi Bengal Tigers secured the second spot with 10 points. The top two teams faced off twice in the league stage, with Shrachi Bengal Tigers winning both encounters in penalty shootouts.

SG Pipers have been impressive in scoring, ranking second in goals scored with 11 in the tournament. Their captain, Navneet Kaur, has netted 4 goals. On the defensive end, they have the second-best record in the league, conceding only 9 goals in the group stage.

Shrachi Bengal Tigers, on the other hand, have scored seven goals in the tournament, with Agustina Gorzelany being a key contributor with 5 goals from penalty corners. The team is focusing on tightening their defense after conceding 11 goals in the league stage. With experienced players like Vandana Katariya, they are gearing up for the final.

Hockey fans can anticipate an exciting final as SG Pipers and Shrachi Bengal Tigers vie for the championship title in Ranchi.
