Veteran actress Shabana Azmi commended the Maharashtra state government for the dignified final procession of the late legendary singer Asha Bhosle. She also praised BMC, Mumbai Police, and Traffic Control for their respectful handling of the farewell. Shabana Azmi expressed her gratitude on Instagram for the dignified goodbye given to Asha Bhosle by the state government and various departments of Maharashtra.

Asha Bhosle, who passed away at 92 in Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital, was bid farewell at Mumbai’s Shivaji Park. Her mortal remains were taken from her residence to the Shivaji Park crematorium in Dadar, draped in the tricolour and accorded full state honors. The entertainment industry’s notable figures like Aamir Khan, Vicky Kaushal, and others, along with political personalities including Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and MNS supremo Raj Thackeray, paid their respects at her last rites.
