Veteran actress and activist Shabana Azmi has confirmed that she will be in isolation for the next five days due to contracting H1N1. Despite being isolated, she expressed her support for students and protestors.
Azmi, unable to attend a recent protest due to her condition, shared a picture from the event on social media. She mentioned staying updated through reports from young participants and praised their courage.
Azmi’s team reported that the 74-year-old actress is battling swine flu with a high fever of 102 degrees. A statement from her team explained that she had to skip a protest as advised by her doctor.
The actress, known for her active participation in protests, had previously shared updates from demonstrations on social media. During a protest, she fell ill and required medical attention at an emergency center.
