Bollywood actress Shilpa Shirodkar shared a frightening experience from the 1990s when she almost drowned during the shooting of a song sequence with Govinda for the movie ‘Hum.’ She mentioned the absence of life jackets and safety precautions on the set.
During a recent episode of India’s Best Dancer Season 5, Shilpa received a surprise video message from Govinda, who fondly remembered their successful collaborations and narrated the incident. Govinda recalled the incident where Shilpa sank into the water while he was left alone on the boat, trying to locate her.
Reflecting on the incident, Shilpa highlighted the lack of safety measures during that era’s film shoots. She described the challenging situation where she was in leather pants, directed to pose in the middle of the water without proper safety equipment or life jackets.
Shilpa Shirodkar and Govinda co-starred in the hit movie ‘Hum,’ alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Rajnikanth, and Kimi Katkar. The song they referred to in the incident was ‘Sanam Mere Sanam’ from the same film.
