The 90s Bollywood star Shilpa Shirodkar recently disclosed a hidden tale of perseverance and dedication while filming the famous song ‘Sanam Mere Sanam’ from the movie ‘Hum’ alongside Govinda many years ago. Speaking on the show ‘India’s Best Dancer,’ Shilpa recounted the challenges she faced during the shoot, which left her injured for weeks.
During a conversation on the show, Shilpa revealed details about the making of the iconic song and the painful injuries she endured while filming. She described how despite the difficulties, she continued shooting the song with determination.
Shilpa recalled the incident where the song was being shot with a small crew, emphasizing the physical strain she underwent during the shoot. She highlighted the professionalism and resilience required to complete the filming despite the mishap.
Adding to the narrative, Shilpa mentioned the use of spirit gum to treat her injuries on set due to the lack of doctors available. She shared how she had to take a break to recover from a torn thigh ligament but returned to finish shooting the song after a brief hiatus.
Reflecting on the song ‘Sanam Mere Sanam,’ a romantic duet from the 1991 hit movie ‘Hum,’ Shilpa reminisced about her experience working on the track, which featured her and Govinda as the lead pair. The song, sung by Amit Kumar and Alka Yagnik, composed by Laxmikant–Pyarelal, and penned by Anand Bakshi, became a chartbuster and remains a favorite among fans.
