The Shiv Sena raised concerns about a new wave of Hindutva supporters in Maharashtra, accusing them of selective outrage for political gain. The party highlighted the recent controversy in Nashik involving allegations of “Corporate Jihad,” where Muslim employees were accused of exploiting Hindu women. While condemning such exploitation, the Shiv Sena criticized BJP leaders for intensifying the issue for political motives, pointing out their silence on local exploitation cases.
The editorial pointed out the inconsistency of demanding investigations and protests only when the accused is Muslim, ignoring similar cases involving local figures like Ashok Kharat and Ravindra Erande in Nashik. These individuals were accused of exploiting women through rituals and false promises, with videos surfacing as evidence of their actions. The Shiv Sena emphasized the need for equal treatment of exploitation cases, irrespective of the perpetrator’s religion, advocating for the protection and dignity of all women.
According to the Shiv Sena, true Hindutva should prioritize women’s safety and combat superstition and hypocrisy. The party urged those protesting against “Corporate Jihad” to also address the exploitation by individuals within their own community. Emphasizing the secular nature of justice, the Shiv Sena called for consistent condemnation of all forms of violence against women, regardless of the perpetrators.
