Shiv Sena legislator Anil Parab has urged the Maharashtra government to provide clarity on the status of Special Investigation Teams (SITs) established in the last five sessions. During a legislative council discussion, Parab emphasized the need for a detailed white paper outlining the progress of these SITs.
Parab highlighted the lack of transparency surrounding the SITs created in response to demands from both opposition and ruling parties across multiple sessions. He specifically requested the government to reveal when the reports of these SITs would be submitted or, if not available, to release a comprehensive white paper on all SITs formed in the past five sessions.
He stressed the importance of including information on all SITs, their current status, and the action taken reports in the proposed white paper. Parab emphasized that transparency in this matter would demonstrate the government’s commitment to uncovering the truth and addressing any potential misconduct.
