Shivamogga Yodhas had a strong start in the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 tournament in Mysuru by defeating Mysore Warriors by 90 runs. The Warriors struggled to chase a target of 191, losing five wickets early on due to impressive bowling by Abhilash Shetty and Shreesha Achar.
Yash Raj Punja, known for his IPL performance with Rajasthan Royals, further troubled the Warriors by taking crucial wickets. Punja ended with remarkable figures of four for 30 in 3.5 overs, sealing the Warriors’ fate.
Mysore Warriors faced a batting collapse with only one player reaching double figures. In response, Shivamogga Yodhas batted aggressively, with openers Luvnith Sisodia and Tushar Singh setting a rapid pace and contributing significantly to the team’s total.
The Yodhas’ strong batting display, led by Sisodia and Singh, laid the foundation for their victory. Despite a few hiccups in the middle overs, the Yodhas secured a convincing win over the Warriors in the tournament opener.
