A strong all-around performance by Shrachi Rarh Tigers led to a 59-run victory over Murshidabad Kings in Season 3 of the Bengal T20 League at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens. Rarh Tigers set a challenging target of 188/5 in 20 overs, with Shuvam Dey Sr scoring 51 runs off 40 balls. Murshidabad Kings’ Saksham Chaudhary and Nuruddin Mondal were the standout bowlers.
Despite Abhishek Raman’s 47 runs, Murshidabad Kings struggled to keep up with the required rate and were at 121/9 in 15.5 overs when rain halted play. With no further action possible due to the weather, Rarh Tigers were declared winners by 59 runs under the DLS Method. Noteworthy bowling performances came from Rohit Kumar (3/8), Rahul Prasad (3/26), and Shahbaz Ahmed (2/25) for Rarh Tigers.
The Bengal T20 League, organized by the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), features eight city-based franchises in its third season. The league showcases men’s and women’s competitions, with matches held at different venues in Kolkata. Season 3’s theme, “Ebar Jombe Khela!” reflects the league’s fierce and uncompromising spirit.
