Shrachi Rarh Tigers secured a spot in the semifinals by defeating Kolkata Royal Tigers by seven wickets in the Bengal T20 League. Abishek Porel’s impressive unbeaten 94 off 53 balls guided Kolkata Royal Tigers to a total of 165/5 in their 20 overs, showcasing a mix of aggression and composure.
In response, Rarh Tigers comfortably chased down the target, reaching 166/3 in 17.5 overs. Shahbaz Ahmed’s unbeaten 78 off 45 balls and Sumanta Gupta’s 60 off 40 deliveries led the charge, forming a crucial partnership that ensured Rarh Tigers finished the league stage on a high note.
The Bengal T20 League, organized by the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), features eight city-based franchises competing in men’s and women’s categories. The league’s third season includes teams like Adamas Howrah Warriors, Novus Royals Purulia, and Kolkata Royal Tigers, with matches held at iconic venues in Kolkata.
