Amidst rising concerns, the General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, Champat Rai, has strongly refuted claims by Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav that crores of rupees are missing from the temple donation fund. Rai emphasized that the Trust’s financial system is transparent, with regular internal audits involving Trust and State Bank of India representatives ongoing.
The audit process at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra includes Hundi counting room checks conducted by Trust and State Bank of India representatives. Rai assured that the ongoing audit has not revealed any irregularities to date, highlighting the Trust’s commitment to financial integrity.
The Trust manages a specialized Hundi counting room at the Shree Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya, overseeing the processing of daily cash, cheques, and valuable offerings. Rai urged devotees not to be misled by baseless allegations, reaffirming the Trust’s sound financial practices and accountability.
Akhilesh Yadav’s social media post describing the situation as sensitive for Lord Ram’s worshippers globally has sparked political and administrative discussions. The issue gained national attention as Yadav alleged the disappearance of crores of rupees, calling for immediate court intervention and questioning the silence of the “Sanatani” society.
