Shafi Burfat, chairman of the Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz (JSMM), has urged India and the global community to intervene against the “brutality, fascism, and persecution” of the people of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), Sindh, and other regions by the Pakistan military “mafia” and to support their fight for freedom and dignity.
His remarks followed the killing of seven civilians in clashes between police and protesters of the newly proscribed Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) in the Rawalakot region of PoK on June 7, as reported by Pakistani daily Dawn.
Burfat strongly condemned the actions of the Pakistani military and intelligence agencies against innocent civilians in PoK, calling for immediate notice of the massacres and human rights violations by international bodies.
Accusing the Pakistani military of repression and bloodshed in PoK, the Sindhi leader appealed to India and other democratic nations to intervene and protect the oppressed nations from Pakistan’s rule.
Burfat warned of the dangers posed by Pakistan’s authoritarianism and brutality, emphasizing the need for global action to address the systematic oppression and human suffering in the region.
