Following the incident, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations issued a warning after a cargo vessel was hit by a projectile near Oman’s coast, causing damage to its bridge area. Fortunately, there were no casualties among the crew, and no environmental harm was reported. Investigations into the attack are ongoing, with authorities cautioning vessels in the area to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.
Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy reiterated that vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz must adhere to routes designated by Iranian authorities.
