Singer-songwriter Papon, known for hits like ‘Bulleya’ and ‘Jiyein Kyun,’ shared his views on Indian festivals, describing them as a reflection of people’s bond with nature, the moon, the sun, and the harvest.

Papon recently celebrated Gudi Padwa with his wife at a farm in Karjat. He expressed his fascination with the diverse cultural tapestry of India, where multiple New Years are celebrated based on various calendars and traditions, all united by a common theme of hope for prosperity and happiness.

Highlighting the agricultural roots of the nation, Papon emphasized that these festivals go beyond symbolism, representing a deep connection with nature and the collective well-being of society. He finds the grounding aspect of celebrations tied to the land and communal welfare particularly appealing.

Taking to Instagram, Papon shared glimpses of the Gudi Padwa celebrations, extending warm wishes for the Marathi New Year and expressing hopes for a year filled with peace and prosperity. The singer’s recent train journey from Surat to Mumbai also showcased his affinity for simplicity and joy, as he reminisced about his childhood and embraced the scenic beauty along the way.
