The filming of director Sivakumar Murugesan’s much-anticipated movie, ‘Seyon’, starring actor Sivakarthikeyan, has finished its first shooting schedule. Raaj Kamal Films International, the production company behind the film, made the announcement on social media, marking the completion of the initial phase. The movie commenced with a grand pooja ceremony in Madurai, attended by various celebrities, including actor Kamal Haasan.
For those unfamiliar, ‘Seyon’ is a joint production of Kamal Haasan’s RaajKamal Films International and Turmeric Media, with actress Baghyashrii Borse playing the female lead. Notably, this project marks Baghyashrii Borse’s debut in Tamil cinema. Director Sivakumar Murugesan shared a video before the film’s launch, showing the core team meeting Kamal Haasan to finalize the agreement, expressing excitement for the journey ahead.
The film has generated significant buzz among fans and cinephiles since the release of a teaser video titled “The Celebration” earlier this year. This video depicts an incident occurring during the Maasi Kalari festival at the Karumaathur Virumaandi Temple, following a confrontation. As the story unfolds, the inspector encounters individuals involved in the festival scuffle, shedding light on the intriguing narrative set in Madurai. Scheduled for an October release, ‘Seyon’ promises a compelling rural commercial entertainer with Sivakarthikeyan in a dynamic role.
The collaboration between Sivakarthikeyan and Raaj Kamal Films International for ‘Seyon’ marks a significant partnership post their successful venture ‘Amaran’. Backed by Kamal Haasan and R. Mahendran, the film blends powerful storytelling with a captivating cinematic vision. Noteworthy is the debut collaboration between RaajKamal Films International, Sivakarthikeyan, and renowned composer Santhosh Narayanan, promising an enriching cinematic experience for the audience.
