Six-year-old Rivani captured hearts with her plea to Kerala Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan for a permanent home, promising to repay in the future. This touching request has spurred a business group to step forward and construct a new house for the young Class I student.
Rivani, a student at Government KV LPS, Vizhinjam Mullur, shared her family’s hardships in a viral video, expressing the need for a new home to sleep peacefully during rainy nights. Chief Minister Satheesan, moved by her words, reached out to Rivani’s mother, Priyanka, assuring them of a home.
Responding to the call, a private group pledged to build the house for Rivani, fulfilling the promise made to the family. Additionally, this group has partnered with actor Mammootty’s Care and Share International Foundation to provide educational support to Rivani through the Vidyamritham project.
Rivani and her brother currently reside in a makeshift shelter on a small plot, with their father working as an autorickshaw driver. Despite applying for housing assistance multiple times without success, their plight gained attention after Rivani’s emotional plea shed light on their struggles.
This heartwarming initiative has transformed a child’s simple request into a new beginning, ensuring Rivani’s family receives a secure home and ongoing educational assistance.
