Sobisco Smashers Malda secured a six-wicket victory against Servotech Siliguri Strikers in the men’s section of Season 3 of the Bengal T20 League at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Servotech Siliguri Strikers batted first, scoring 128/7 in 20 overs, with Pramod Chandila leading with an unbeaten 52 off 35 deliveries. Malda’s Mukesh Kumar and Prayas Ray Barman each took two wickets.
In response, Malda comfortably chased down the target, reaching 129/4 in 17.3 overs. Akhil contributed 50 runs off 44 balls, while Prayas scored 39 off 29 deliveries. Geet Puri took two wickets for the Strikers, with Md Shami and Vishal Bhati claiming one each.
In another match, Adamas Howrah Warriors defeated Kolkata Royal Tigers by seven wickets through the DLS Method. Shakir Habib Gandhi’s unbeaten 52 off 32 balls and Sujit Kumar Yadav’s 3/20 with the ball were instrumental in the victory. Royal Tigers posted 149/8 in 20 overs, recovering from 75/7, courtesy of Ronit Ghosh’s unbeaten 71 off 37 balls.
Adamas Howrah Warriors, set a revised target of 122 in 15 overs, comfortably reached 124/3 in 13.2 overs. Alongside Gandhi, Kazi Junaid Saifi and Shashank Singh impressed with 34 off 23 and 32 not out off 18 respectively.
The Bengal T20 League Season 3, organized under the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), features eight city-based franchises representing West Bengal. The league includes men’s and women’s competitions, with matches held at Eden Gardens for men and JU Salt Lake Campus for women. The theme for Season 3 is “Ebar Jombe Khela!” symbolizing the league’s fierce and uncompromising spirit.
