SOBO Mumbai Falcons secured a crucial seven-wicket victory over North Mumbai Panthers in the T20 Mumbai League 2026, keeping their semifinal chances alive. The Falcons chased down 158 runs for victory, led by Ishan Mulchandani’s impressive 65 runs, reaching the target with 11 balls to spare. This win sets the stage for a tense battle for the remaining semifinal spots in the league.
The Falcons, starting cautiously, saw Mulchandani and Awais Khan add 26 runs before Khan was dismissed. Mulchandani then partnered with Naman Jhawar to stabilize the innings with a 28-run stand. Mulchandani’s resilient batting, supported by Gautam Waghela’s unbeaten 45, guided the Falcons to a convincing win, almost securing their spot in the semifinals.
In the bowling department, Mayuresh Tandel’s four-wicket haul played a pivotal role in restricting North Mumbai Panthers to 157 runs. Despite a strong partnership between Abhigyan Kundu and Anish Chaudhery, Panthers faltered after Chaudhery’s dismissal. The Falcons’ bowlers, including Tandel, Yash Dicholkar, and Vedant Gore, showcased an all-round performance to dismantle the Panthers’ batting lineup.
The victory propels SOBO Mumbai Falcons into contention for the semifinals, with the final spots set to be decided in the upcoming matches. Semifinals are scheduled to take place on Thursday.
