The Special Operations Group (SOG) in Rajasthan has conducted a significant operation against examination fraud, apprehending two main suspects for allegedly using proxy candidates to secure positions in the Senior Teacher (Secondary Education) Recruitment Examination-2022. The arrested individuals are Dinesh Kumar, son of Babu Lal, and Dinesh Kumar, son of Asuram Bishnoi. Additional Director General of Police (SOG) Vishal Bansal revealed that both suspects had been evading authorities for about two years, with arrest warrants issued against them. The SOG had offered a reward of Rs 5,000 each for information leading to their capture. It was found that proxy candidates took the exam on behalf of the accused during the General Knowledge and Educational Psychology papers on January 29, 2023, leading to the selection of the accused as Senior Teachers (Science). Subsequently, both suspects went into hiding, but a specialized team led by Deputy Inspector General Paris Deshmukh successfully located and arrested them in different places. Dinesh Kumar, son of Babu Lal, was apprehended in Pune, Maharashtra, while Dinesh Kumar, son of Asuram Bishnoi, was captured in Jaipur. The operation was supported by Police Inspector Rajbir Singh and constables Mahesh Kumar, Madho Singh, and Gangasahai. Additional Superintendent of Police (SOG) Prakash Kumar Sharma is overseeing the investigation, which is now focused on identifying and apprehending the proxy candidates involved in the fraudulent activity. The SOG is also delving into significant financial transactions associated with the fraud and is determined to expose the entire network behind the racket. Experts highlight that the use of proxy candidates undermines the fairness and transparency of competitive exams, creating challenges for maintaining integrity. Such impersonation not only damages public trust but also puts genuine candidates at a disadvantage, revealing loopholes in the system and emphasizing the need for stronger surveillance, verification procedures, and legal measures.
