Actor Sohail Khan bravely disclosed a distressing incident from his childhood on a recent episode of “Alliance.” He revealed being a victim of sexual harassment as a young boy, a secret he kept to himself for years. Sohail emphasized how this experience influences his parenting approach, particularly in guiding and supporting his sons, Nirvaan and Yohan.
In a candid conversation with other participants, Sohail stressed the significance of fostering a safe environment for children to voice their concerns. He highlighted his proactive stance in encouraging his sons to openly communicate any instances of bullying, discomfort, or distress they may encounter. Sohail expressed his strong aversion to bullying, drawing from his own past encounter, stating, “I am strongly against ragging. I have always told Yohan and Nirvaan, ‘Beta, don’t feel shy or embarrassed to come and tell me if someone is bullying you,’ because I have experienced this myself.”
Reflecting on his personal journey, Sohail Khan also shared insights into his marriage with Seema Sajdeh and the reasons behind their separation. The ‘Tubelight’ actor acknowledged his role in the relationship’s breakdown, attributing it to his actions and demeanor during a challenging period. He admitted, “At that time, kaam theek nahi chal raha tha (my work wasn’t going well), so I wasn’t in the right frame of mind. Because of my behaviour, I lost someone I really loved.”
