Actress Sonam Kapoor celebrated the 17th anniversary of the movie ‘Delhi-6’ by sharing a video montage showcasing her character and memorable moments from the film. Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and starring Abhishek Bachchan alongside Sonam, the movie depicted Sonam as ‘Bittu Sharma’, a lively girl from Chandni Chowk in Old Delhi. The film, known for its vibrant backdrop, narrated the story of Roshan’s return to Delhi amid social tensions.
The ensemble cast of ‘Delhi-6’ included Abhishek Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Waheeda Rehman, Rishi Kapoor, Om Puri, Pavan Malhotra, Supriya Pathak, and Divya Dutta in key roles. Despite a mixed response at the box office in 2009, the film was praised for its music by A.R. Rahman, with songs like ‘Masakali’ and ‘Rehna Tu’ becoming chartbusters.
