South Korea and Czechia will face off in their opening match of the FIFA World Cup 2026. South Korea is a regular at the tournament, making their 11th consecutive appearance, while Czechia returns after a 20-year hiatus. This will be the first time these teams meet at the World Cup.

South Korea holds the record for the most World Cup appearances by an Asian nation. Their streak dates back to 1986, with the 2026 tournament marking their 12th participation. Only a few countries, such as Brazil, Germany, Argentina, and Spain, have longer runs of consecutive appearances.

Fans in India can watch the South Korea vs. Czechia match live on the Zee5 platform and app through live streaming and telecast. Subscriptions will be required for access. Additionally, Unite8 Sports 1 and Unite8 Sports 2 HD TV channels will broadcast the FIFA World Cup 2026 matches in India.

The match is scheduled for Friday, June 12, at 7:30 AM (IST) at the Guadalajara Stadium in Zapopan. Amin Mohamed Omar will officiate as the referee for the game. Both teams have announced their squads for the tournament, with South Korea and Czechia finalizing their goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, and forwards.
