The South-West District Police successfully reunited 193 missing persons, including 48 missing/kidnapped children and 145 missing adults, with their families through ‘Operation Milap’ from June 1 to June 30. Operation Milap has brought relief to numerous families by locating missing children and adults and ensuring their safe return. In the first half of 2026, the district police recovered a total of 866 missing persons, comprising 226 minor children and 640 adults.
Local enquiries were extensively conducted, and CCTV footage was scrutinized to trace missing individuals. Photos of the missing persons were displayed at various locations to seek public assistance. Police teams interacted with bus drivers, conductors, and local vendors to gather information on the missing persons’ movements. Swift efforts led to the successful tracing of 193 missing persons, including children and adults, during June under Operation Milap.
Police stations like Vasant Vihar and R.K. Puram traced missing individuals, reuniting them with their families. Various police stations recovered missing or kidnapped children and adults, ensuring their safe return. The Anti Human Trafficking Unit and the District Missing Persons Unit played crucial roles in reuniting missing children and adults with their families. The police efforts also led to tracing missing persons from previous years during the operations conducted in June.
