Devnani addressed participants at the 37th International Training Programme on Legislative Drafting, emphasizing the essential stages of the legislative process.
Devnani explained the three key stages of the legislative process, including bill introduction, detailed deliberation, and final passage through voting. He stressed the importance of robust and comprehensible laws aligned with public interest, emphasizing the necessity of clear and simple language for justice delivery. Describing the Assembly as a “temple of democracy,” Devnani highlighted its role in shaping inclusive development and enacting social welfare legislation.
The Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, known as the “Pink House” of Jaipur, has been transformed into a model institution through complete digitization of its legislative records. Devnani praised the Assembly’s architectural blend of traditional Rajasthani design with modern functionality, enhancing transparency, accountability, and governance efficiency. He also lauded the Assembly’s modern digital museum as a bridge between the institution and the public, offering insights into the state’s democratic journey.
Encouraging international participants, Devnani emphasized the value of practical insights gained from interactions with experienced legislators beyond academic learning.
