A tragic incident occurred in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, where a speeding dumper truck crashed into a family sleeping by the roadside, resulting in the death of four family members, including three children. The accident took place on the Fatehpur-Bhanoli road near the village of Jhansa within the Fatehpur Kotwali police station area.
The man and his three children lost their lives in the accident, while his wife, the children’s mother, sustained severe injuries and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Lucknow. The family had set up their sleeping arrangements outside their home due to the intense heat and lack of electricity when the tragic incident occurred.
Amit Singh, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Fatehpur, confirmed the loss of four lives and the critical condition of one individual. Following the accident, locals rushed to the scene upon hearing the cries and began rescue efforts. The injured were initially taken to a Community Health Centre, with the mother later being referred to the District Hospital for further treatment.
The police, upon being informed by the locals, arrived at the site and facilitated the injured woman’s transportation to the hospital. The bodies of the deceased were sent for a post-mortem examination, and the dumper truck along with its driver has been taken into police custody. An investigation into the incident is currently ongoing, with more details awaited.
