In a significant update on the case of Sadhvi Prem Baisa’s mysterious death, the State Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) has submitted its report to the police, ruling out poisoning or any unnatural cause of death. The report, received late Thursday night, has surprised many by dismissing earlier suspicions of foul play or forced poisoning. Sadhvi Prem Baisa, who had been suffering from asthma, faced severe breathing difficulties after catching a cold on January 28.
Doctors at Mahatma Gandhi Hospital will now assess whether the medications administered to Sadhvi Prem Baisa or her underlying health conditions played a role in her death. The compounder who administered the injections mentioned that they were based on a prescription allegedly provided by a private hospital doctor. While the FSL report has eliminated poisoning as a cause of death, authorities emphasize that the case remains under investigation, with a focus on various aspects including medical treatment and witness statements.
Officials have stated that more clarity is expected once the medical board provides its final opinion on the matter. The investigation is ongoing, with scrutiny on the circumstances at the ashram and the adherence to medical protocols in administering treatment to Sadhvi Prem Baisa.
