A stir has arisen in the Bihar Revenue and Land Reforms Department due to the tough measures taken by Deputy Chief Minister and Revenue and Land Reforms Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha. Some officials, fearing repercussions, have reached out to the Governor and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for intervention. Despite this, Vijay Kumar Sinha has affirmed that he will not yield to any pressure.
In response to the unrest among officials, the Deputy Chief Minister emphasized that the government’s actions are solely aimed at benefiting the public and not causing harm to anyone. He highlighted the need to revamp the Revenue and Land Reforms Department for improved public service. Vijay Sinha also mentioned the Muzaffarpur land scam, where agricultural land was unlawfully transferred with the involvement of officials.
Vijay Kumar Sinha, now leading the Revenue and Land Reforms Department, has been actively conducting district-wise meetings and making prompt decisions. Addressing concerns about Naxalism, he credited Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s leadership for significantly reducing Naxalism in the country. Sinha expressed confidence that with effective governance at the national level, Naxalism and extremism can be eradicated nationwide.
