An incident in Kalaburagi district of Karnataka saw five children, including toddlers, being bitten by a stray dog while playing in front of their houses. The children suffered serious injuries to their eyes, ears, and chest, leading to their admission to GIMS Hospital for treatment. Local residents criticized the municipal corporation for not addressing the recurring issue of stray dog attacks in the area.

Residents expressed their frustration over the lack of action by municipal authorities in controlling the stray dog problem, which they claim has been a daily occurrence. In response to the incident, residents staged a protest and demanded immediate measures to tackle the issue. The situation remains tense as more details about the incident are awaited.

A recent viral video from Kalaburagi showed a young girl bravely fending off stray dogs while wearing a hijab and school uniform. The girl’s courage in facing the aggressive dogs garnered attention on social media. In another incident, stray dogs that posed a threat to a girl in Rehman Colony were swiftly captured by corporation authorities, who assured the public of enhanced safety measures.

The menace of stray dogs causing harm to residents has been a recurring problem in Karnataka, with multiple recent incidents of dog attacks on children and adults. The need for effective measures to control stray dog populations and ensure public safety has become a pressing issue in various districts of the state.
