Student organization Krantikari Yuva Sangathan (KYS) expressed disapproval of the CBSE’s On-Screen Marking (OSM) evaluation system, citing technical glitches and assessment discrepancies. They called for an impartial inquiry into the evaluation issues. In response, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan led a meeting at the CBSE Headquarters to address concerns regarding the Class 12 exams and promised stringent measures against any shortcomings.
Union Education Minister Pradhan, along with key officials and representatives from various educational bodies and banks, discussed resolving student issues promptly and transparently. Emphasizing the government’s dedication to fairness and student-focused examinations, the Minister assured swift resolution of genuine concerns. The meeting highlighted efforts to enhance student support systems, digital platforms, and examination services accessibility.
With approximately 18 lakh students appearing for the Class 12 exams this year, involving a vast number of answer sheets and scanned pages, the Minister stressed prioritizing students’ welfare. He pledged decisive action against any negligence and addressed technical challenges faced by students accessing post-examination services. An expert team from IIT Madras is working to ensure seamless service delivery for students by reviewing portal stability and server capacity.
