Student anger in Bihar’s Munger escalated due to the alleged NEET paper leak and recent police crackdown on protesters. Thousands of students, representing various student organizations, took to the streets in a massive protest march. The demonstrators criticized the use of force on students in Delhi and Patna and demanded accountability regarding the examination controversy.
The protest march commenced near DJ College with over a thousand students displaying placards and chanting slogans against the Central Government. The procession traversed the city’s main roads before concluding at Munger Fort. Protesters throughout the rally urged for a transparent and time-bound investigation into the alleged NEET paper leak, strict actions against the culprits, and measures to ensure the integrity of competitive exams.
The students voiced their discontent until a fair probe into the alleged NEET paper leak is conducted, individuals responsible are held accountable, and a credible examination process is ensured. They also called for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and criticized the use of force on students during protests. The district administration anticipated a significant turnout and deployed a substantial police contingent to maintain law and order during the peaceful protest.
