A Class 11 student named Shubham was fatally stabbed by unidentified miscreants in Kota, Rajasthan. The incident occurred in the Udhyog Nagar Police Station area, raising suspicions of a social media-related rivalry leading to the attack. Shubham was attacked while walking alone after a wedding ceremony, and despite being rushed to a hospital, he succumbed to his injuries due to severe blood loss.
Shubham’s friends and family revealed that he was active on social media and had a significant following, suggesting jealousy among local youths as a possible motive for the attack. Investigators are exploring the angle of social media popularity as a trigger for the hostility directed towards Shubham. His family emphasized that he had no known personal disputes, strengthening the belief that the assault might be connected to envy arising from his online presence.
Following the incident, the station house officer of Udhyog Nagar police station, Jitendra Singh Shekhawat, initiated an investigation into the case. Initial findings indicate a potential personal feud behind the attack, with one of the assailants identified based on statements from Shubham’s acquaintances. Authorities are delving into the social media aspect and actively searching for other suspects involved in the crime.
