Students in Hyderabad attempted to march towards Lok Bhavan demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET paper leak. Police intervened and lathi-charged the students, leading to tension in the area. The protesters, including members of various student organizations, were stopped by the police at Khairatabad, resulting in a confrontation.

Raising slogans against the Central government, the students wanted to reach the Telangana Governor’s official residence. They insisted on staging a protest in front of Lok Bhavan and claimed that 21 students had lost their lives due to the paper leak. Allegations were made by the Students Federation of India (SFI) and other groups that police used force to disperse the crowd, leading to arrests and condemnations of police actions.

Meanwhile, solidarity protests were held at Press Club in Somajiguda in support of those protesting at Jantar Mantar. Students from Hyderabad Central University and Osmania University also demonstrated in solidarity with protestors in New Delhi. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expressed Congress party’s support for the nationwide youth protests, highlighting the demands for the resignations of top officials and compensation for the affected families.
