Defending champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape will kick off their SA20 title defense against Pretoria Capitals in a rematch of last season’s final. The tournament, scheduled from January 17 to February 21, 2027, will feature matches across all six host venues, culminating in the final at Newlands, Cape Town.
The opening match is set for January 17 at St George’s Park in Gqeberha, where Sunrisers Eastern Cape will face a rejuvenated Pretoria Capitals team. The schedule includes a month of T20 action with four Saturday double-headers on January 23, January 30, February 6, and February 13.
SA20 League Commissioner Graeme Smith announced the fixtures, marking the start of preparations for an exciting season. Smith emphasized the significance of the fixtures, stating that it sets the stage for a thrilling season of cricket.
Pretoria Capitals head into the new season with renewed confidence after their Season 4 performance. The playoffs will commence with Qualifier 1 at Boland Park, Paarl, on February 16, with subsequent matches leading to the final at Newlands on February 21.
