The recommendation then goes through a series of steps involving the Chief Minister, Governor, Union Minister of Law and Justice, and the Chief Justice of India for final approval.
As per the Memorandum of Procedure, once the Collegium approves the recommendations, they are forwarded to the Central government. Subsequently, the President of India signs the warrants of appointment, and the Department of Justice issues the official notification in the Gazette of India.
