As the Supreme Court prepares to address the Ayodhya Ram Temple offerings theft case, priests believe that the court’s decision will serve the interests of Lord Ram’s devotees and the saint community. The court is reviewing four petitions related to the alleged theft of offerings at the temple. Mahant Acharya Sitaram Das Maharaj mentioned that a new Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed as per the court’s directive, ensuring that the investigation will proceed.
Mahamandaleshwar Vishnu Das Maharaj expressed confidence that the Supreme Court’s ruling will benefit devotees and saints, dismissing the political maneuvers surrounding the theft allegations. He emphasized that the opposition’s aspirations for 2027 will not materialize. Similarly, Jagadguru Paramahamsa Acharya from Tapasvi Chavani voiced optimism in the judicial process, anticipating positive outcomes for the nation and its culture from the court’s actions.
The Supreme Court, which directed the reconstitution of an SIT on July 20, is actively engaged in the Ayodhya Ram Temple offerings theft case. The Uttar Pradesh government has complied with the court’s orders by forming a new three-member SIT to investigate the alleged cash donations theft at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya. Inspector General of Police Kiran S. will lead the panel, supported by Deputy Inspector General Somen Barma and Senior Superintendent of Police Gaurav Grover.
